Doctor working

As a family physician, Maiysha Clairborne, M.D., found that, while she possessed good clinician skills, upon founding a private medical practice and a coaching company, she was lacking proper entrepreneurial skills. Clairborne then launched The Next Level Physician Entrepreneur’s Institute, an online platform that provides fellow physicians with useful business skills that will make them more successful in their practice.

Designed for physicians looking to start a new business or market a product, the virtual institute is a community of physicians training each other in business, marketing, and sales. For people at the starting stages of a company, the Institute offers an Employee to Entrepreneur Startup to Setup Accelerator program where participants learn and receive coaching for 12 months while creating a clear pathway to make their idea become a reality.

The Institute also offers a Next Level Physician Advanced Fellowship Program for physicians who have completed the Accelerator or who are more experienced business owners. Also a 12-month program, the online curriculum consists of more advanced business skills, revenue-generating strategies, and one on one coaching.

“As physicians, we are not taught business or entrepreneurship, we are only taught to be clinicians,” explained Dr. Clairborne. “I was once that new entrepreneur struggling to find my way in an area I knew nothing about and had to learn on my own.”

There are three monthly memberships available, each ranging in price, that target participants at various levels of entrepreneurship.
