As part of the “Advance: UHC Annual Conference 2015”, UHC and AVIA Health Innovation today announced five digital health care startup companies selected to compete in the annual “UHC Startup Challenge on Friday, October 2 in Orlando. The five finalists will pitch their ideas to an audience of about 2,000 healthcare professionals for an opportunity to win a monetary prize and receive the “Innovation Delivered Award”.
“The UHC Startup Challenge is an engaging and interactive way to highlight a few of the latest innovations in digital health care to our members,” said Barbara Anason, senior vice president, academic medical centers networks and strategy. “This is a novel way to learn about new ideas designed to help improve the quality and delivery of health care in our country.”
