Recently established emerging growth fund True Beauty Ventures (TBV) announced their inaugural investment into the beauty, wellness, and personal care spaces, via AQUIS, a fast growing innovative hair company with a revolutionary new hair care treatment K18Peptide. The capital from the investment will support AQUIS’ continued high growth, its’ new hires and innovations, and the rollout of K18Peptide.

“We are committed to creating cutting-edge technologies that allow you to be the most authentic, bold version of yourself without sacrificing the integrity of your hair,” said AQUIS CEO & CO-Founder Suveen Sahib.

AQUIS is best known for creating the first moisture-wicking towels and turbans to limit the damaging effects of water, as well as drying hair 50% faster. Both Sahib and Britta Cox, the other co-founder of AQUIS, extensively studied the biology of hair to conclude that excess water is the leading cause of hair damage. Their new K18Peptide works to permanently undo damage due to chemically treated hair.

The TBV funding comes from an existing Series B round led by Springboard Growth Capital (SGC). SGC focuses on giving visionary female founders the capital they need to make consumer brands to lead the market.

“Hair is one of the fastest-growing categories within prestige beauty, even in the post COVID-19 environment,” added Cristina Nuñez, Co-Founder & Partner of TBV. “AQUIS is poised to be a leader in the holistic hair health movement with their dedicated commitment to high-tech innovation, better and fewer ingredients, and proven results.”
