Yashi, a leading online video demand side platform with location-focused technology, was acquired by Texas based Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc., as announced in their February 2, 2015 press release. Nexstar has acquired 100% of the stock of Yashi, Inc. in a $33.0 million transaction accretive to 2015 results. Nexstar Broadcasting Group is a Nasdaq listed diversified media company specializing in localism that brings services to consumers and advertisers through its traditional media, digital and mobile media platforms.
Yashi experienced very rapid growth through its pioneering and innovative location-based targeting and programmatic digital technology and services for the online video advertising industry. Offering a one-stop digital advertising solution, Yashi’s proprietary platform integrates geographic, demographic, and other data-driven targeting tools with real-time-bidding. The platform enables advertisers to optimize their ad campaigns in real time.

Nexstar’s acquisition of Yashi significantly broadens and diversifies Nexstar’s digital media portfolio. In addition, synergies are expected with Nexstar’s geo-fencing patent and 600+ local account executives. Yashi will continue to operate its growing business as a division of Nexstar’s digital media portfolio.
