As part of an effort to help build a life science community that creates biotech jobs in NJ, BioNJ, a New Jersey-based network of 400 member companies representing research-based life sciences companies and stakeholders, will begin hosting a series of free coaching sessions in February. The sessions are intended to prepare early-stage life science companies for the 2015 BIO International Convention from June 15 to June 18.

The conference, which will be held in the Philadelphia Convention Center, features more than 1,700 exhibitors and includes 60-plus state, regional and country pavilions. According to an email from BioNJ, free coaching sessions for the conference begins Friday, Feb. 20, with priority given to BioNJ members aiming to present or take part in partnering sessions at the conference. BioNJ members with expertise in areas such as business plan development, fundraising, finance and more will offer their knowledge to help educate and prepare members participating in the sessions.

Applications are currently being accepted and reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. More sessions will be added on March 20 and April 24 based on demand. To request an application to participate in a “BioP on the Road to BIO 2015” coaching session, contact Judy Applebaum at 609-890-3185 orJApplebaum@BioNJ.org.
