The Creative Destruction Lab at New York University Stern School of Business ((CDL-NYC) is seeking applications through August 12th for its upcoming startup program. The CDL is a seed-stage program helping ventures make the transition from pre-seed to seed-stage funding. It is tailored specifically for science and tech startups primarily in the New York tristate region that have the potential to massively scale.

The CDL program that began in 2012 at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto has now expanded to six universities, with NYU as the sole one based in the U.S.

Those accepted into the CDL-NYC program enter a supportive startup ecosystem that presents them with the resources and strengths of New York City and surrounding region: the world’s business capital, global research institutions, and NYU Stern’s world premier management education schools and research centers. Participants are given business development support from Stern’s faculty and MBA students, and resources from its other leading schools such as NYU Courant (Computer Science), NYU Tandon (Engineering) and NYU Langone Medical School.

CDL-NYC offers a Prime stream that supports a diverse cohort of ventures from fields ranging from biotechnology to artificial intelligence, while other CDL locations may offer specialized support such as CDL-Atlantic that offers a specialization in clean technologies and ocean-related technologies.

Those interested in applying should review the online application form that offers more information about the programs offered at all six CDL universities, while requesting information about the venture.
