Blackstone Launchpad, a global entrepreneurship initiative, recently announced another expansion of its global network to include three prominent Texas universities. The Blackstone Launchpad program, which is currently available to more than 600,000 college students world-wide, will expand to include Texas A&M University, The University of Texas at Dallas and The University of Texas at Austin. With this expansion, Blackstone Launchpad estimates that 9,000 new jobs and 3,900 business ventures will be created over the next 3-years throughout Texas.

Executives and leaders from Blackstone, the respective universities and political officials, including U.S. Senator, John Cornyn, collaborated on the program’s expansion that will include a multi-year grant to fund the expansion. The campus-based entrepreneurship program assists students in turning their ideas into small businesses that support local economies.

Blackstone Launchpad’s entrepreneurship program is found on numerous university campuses in both the U.S. and around the globe. The program offers student entrepreneurs all of the necessary advice and outside resources to convert their ideas and innovations into legitimate and successful businesses.

Blackstone Launchpad is funded through the Blackstone Charitable Foundation, which received recognition through the Obama Administration’s Startup America initiative.
