Call Center doing Sales

Early support from venture capital firms is enabling the two-year-old startup to accelerate its market introduction quickly.

Spara, an enterprise conversational AI platform for modernizing inbound sales and marketing, announced $15 million in seed funding.

The round was co-led by Radical Ventures and Inspired Capital, with participation from XYZ Ventures, FJ Labs, Remarkable Ventures, and strategic angels from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Databricks, and G2.

The new capital will accelerate product development, team growth, and machine learning research, with a focus on multimodal capabilities and deeper sales and marketing integrations.

The launch positions Spara at the forefront of the conversational AI market, which is projected to grow from $11.6 billion in 2024 to $41.4 billion by 2030.

Solving the Speed-to-Lead Problem with AI

Co-founded by David Walker and Zander Pease in 2023, Spara is an AI platform for real-time buyer engagement. Using conversational agents across chat, voice, and email, Spara helps companies convert high-intent website visitors into qualified meetings within seconds.

Its enterprise-grade models are trained on each customer’s unique sales funnel, ensuring a tailored approach that accelerates revenue generation.

In sales, buyers often pick the first vendor to respond. Yet slow follow-ups, low sales capacity, and inefficient workflows cost revenue. Traditional funnels use forms and manual outreach, leaving buyers waiting hours or days.

Spara eliminates these bottlenecks. with its instant response system that answers questions, qualifies prospects, and books meetings. This creates a seamless buyer experience that directly improves conversion rates and pipeline velocity.

“Outbound is oversaturated to the point of irrelevance, while inbound systems haven’t evolved to meet modern buyer expectations,” said Walker. “Companies spend millions to drive traffic to their websites, but most leads leave unanswered. Spara closes that gap by capturing revenue the moment it shows up.”

Customized AI for Every Go-to-Market Motion

Unlike generic chatbots or static email cadences, Spara develops custom AI models for each customer’s go-to-market strategy. Every deployment is trained on a company’s unique sales process, brand voice, and qualification criteria.

The result is an AI agent that not only knows what to say, but when and in the right tone.

This tailored approach enables Spara to function as an actual enterprise-ready revenue engine, providing GTM teams with the precision of enterprise-grade AI while maintaining the safety and compliance required in corporate sales environments.

As Molly Welch, Partner at Radical Ventures, explained, “Spara is rethinking the way companies connect with buyers from the ground up, with AI at the core. The future of sales isn’t about more automation for sellers, but about more immediacy and clarity for buyers. David and Zander bring a rare combination of sales expertise and AI fluency to build infrastructure every GTM team will need over the next decade.”

Early Customer Success Stories

Spara is already delivering results for Rho, MarketMan, Jericho Security, and TinyMCE.

At Rho, the platform booked over 90 meetings in just 30 days, converting half of the qualified traffic. The average chat-to-meeting-booked time was under three minutes.

Research shows conversion rates rise tenfold when companies respond within one minute but drop sharply after five.

“With Spara, we’re engaging buyers the moment they show interest—often within seconds,” said Tommy McNulty, Chief Revenue Officer at Rho. “That kind of speed has dramatically improved our conversion rates and freed up our sales team to focus on closing deals.”

Seed Funding to Fuel Expansion

The $15 million seed round shows increasing investor confidence in AI sales automation, as businesses seek solutions for higher ROI and faster revenue.

“David and Zander have lived this problem from all angles as second-time founders with deep GTM expertise,” said Chris Brown of Inspired Capital. “Their clarity of vision and ability to blend sales and technical execution stood out immediately.”

Riding the Wave of AI Growth in Sales

With global demand projected to more than triple by 2030, platforms like Spara are positioned to capture significant market share.

Industry analysts note that traditional CRM systems and marketing automation tools have not kept pace with the evolving behavior of modern buyers.

Spara is particularly critical in B2B software, fintech, cybersecurity, and other high-consideration industries where buyers demand instant, accurate responses before committing to a vendor.

By aligning with how buyers actually want to purchase—fast, personal, and on their own terms—Spara brings a new standard for sales pipeline efficiency.
