Immersive activations showcasing technology will be featured in the Zone
The National Retail Federation (NRF) continues its focus on innovation and technology that is impacting the retail industry with its announcement of a new Foodservice Innovation Zone to be part of NRF 2024: Retail’s Big Show.
The Zone, shown on this map, will feature over 50 food technology exhibitors that includes immersive activations like AI-powered kitchen equipment, contactless ordering and fresh food vending—technologies that will transform the customer foodservice experience.
For example, Taffer’s Tavern will let attendees order food prepared in state-of-the-art ventless ovens, featuring sous-vide cooking tech, while PizzaBot demonstrates how robots can streamline and automate the cooking process of pizzas within a small footprint, both presented by Middleby.
Using immersive activations, attendees will experience the future of foodservice that is being driven by innovation.
In addition, the Foodservice Tech Stage will hold 11 sessions featuring tech leaders and innovators who will speak on customer-centric technologies and innovations for restaurant and retail foodservice. Celebrity chef appearances are also scheduled.
The event is being held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City on January 14-16, 2024.
Technology changes in the retail industry have a broad impact as retail is the nation’s largest private-sector employer with 52 million working Americans which accounts for one in four U.S. jobs. The industry contributes $3.9 trillion annually to GDP.
