Founded in 2013, Parsippany-based Northpass has been steadily growing their client base of Saas companies that use their learning management system to grow their brand and improve their content. Now they have critical support to build on this success with the completion of a $4 million growth round of funding, led by Princeton based Edison Partners.

Northpass now serves over 200 major brands including Airbnd, Lyft, and Shopify. Its technology allows companies to create and deliver content via browser or mobile to train employees, customers, and partners about their respective services. The company has a quality-over-quantity approach, aiming to help customers stay better engaged, actively participating, while retaining and transferring the knowledge.

With a more modern approach to learning, Northpass makes it easy to create online courses and obtain training success data in real-time when analytics are in high demand. The platform is customer focused, ensuring that the programs are design-optimized for learners and customized for the user’s needs.

“Enterprise learning solutions are a large and fast-growing market. One of the key advantages Northpass has established is its unique degree of understanding of the market’s new needs and the development of user-centric designed programs, experiences and metrics. The Northpass team’s approach has quickly converted into solid revenue growth and bookings momentum,” said Tom Vander Schaaff, General Partner, Edison Partners, who led the investment and joins the company’s board of directors.
