Across 179 Countries, LiveXLive Media’s second annual ‘Music Lives’ live-streamed music festival gave many people still in lockdown the chance to hear their favorites, discover new artists and speak with other fans. From March 26th to March 30th, 2021, nearly 28 million people tuned in to listen to the works of over 130 artists, with further interactions on social media reaching a grand total of 176 million people.

“We envision LiveXLive and live concerts to live side by side in the future as we move towards in-person performances,” said LiveXLive CEO and Chairman Robert Ellin. “Our flywheel provides artists an opportunity to maximize their superfans’ desires to engage and transact with them, now and in the future. We could not be happier with these results from Music Lives.”

Almost every music festival now lets fans connect with artists, but LiveXLive’s Music Lives goes to a higher level having fans connect while immersing themselves in high-quality production. Fans are given a virtual space that lets them discover new music, while aspiring artists have a platform to find new listeners.

The festival featured well-known performers such as John Mayer, Zac Brown Band, Pitbull, and Trace Adkins and was sponsored by musical community Lomotif as their Global Presenting Partner as well as Monster Energy Drink, with distribution across LiveXLive’s live-streaming and audio platform, Lomotif, and VICE. All of the performances during the three-day livestream drove contributions to MusiCares’ COVID-19 Relief Fund, providing support to workers within the music industry feeling the impact of the pandemic.
