With many non-profits increasingly relying on using digital platforms to raise funds, organizations like Malala Fund, who interact with supporters primarily online, are looking for a more user-friendly, online donation process. Now, Simple Widget, a personalized donation widget that was created through a partnership between Malala Fund and tech startup, Give Lively, provides a convenient fund raising process that benefits both the donors and nonprofits.
Give Lively, a New York City-based startup and essential partner to Malala in creating the technology, develops fundraising tech for nonprofits and then gifts it to them. As such, the new Simple Widget is free for nonprofits to embed in their website and features Apple Pay and Google Pay, allowing donors to move through the donation process as quickly as possible.
Malala Fund is a nonprofit organization, founded by Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, that advocates internationally for girl’s education. Hannah Orenstein, Digital Manager at Malala Fund, explains that “as soon as supporters learn about our mission and are compelled to give, it’s important that they are able to do so as quickly, easily and as securely as possible.”
“Malala Fund’s digital team came to us with an idea to improve their donor experience and we knew we could build something that would have a broader impact,” explains Brooke Currence, Vice President of Marketing at Give Lively. “This collaboration led to a solution that will ultimately help nonprofits of all sizes raise funding they need to fulfill their mission without sacrificing their means.”
