Up until recently consumers had two options when it came to autos: buy or lease. Now a third alternative is gaining consumer acceptance known as vehicle subscription services, giving to consumers ready access to automobiles by allowing an individual to have exclusive use of a car based on a monthly fee. This week Flexdrive, a car subscription technology and services company, announced that Florida Fine Cars will launch AmeriDrive to provide vehicle subscriptions to consumers across South Florida.
Flexdrive, a joint venture of Cox Automotive and ARI, is a well-established fleet management company that enables dealers and fleet owners to offer on-demand car subscriptions to consumers via mobile devices. Now AmeriDrive will launch the subscription service for Florida Fine Cars’ four locations in Hollywood, Margate, Miami and West Palm Beach, using the Flexdrive technology and consumer marketplace.
“Buying a car should be simple, but it is instead often seen as stressful and a hassle,” said Ramin Farahmand, co-owner of Florida Fine Cars, the parent company of AmeriDrive in a press statement. “People need an alternative that puts their minds at ease and gives them options. Car subscription fits that need and Flexdrive was the clear partner to help our business continue to evolve and grow, while also reaching existing customers and new consumers in a different, compelling way.”
Consumers will have a choice of makes, models and price points. The subscription service meets the needs of those requiring a car for day-to-day life and those using a car as part of their lifestyle experience. A drive is able to use one car during the week and easily select a different car to match their weekend lifestyle.
Flexdrive’s proprietary algorithms ensure that participating dealerships maximize their profitability in the program, while offering ease of use to consumers.
