The program’s participants gain early exposure to federal agencies and industry partners working on top national technology challenges.
The NobleReach® Foundation announced its inaugural initiative to bridge professionals in the tech and entrepreneurship fields with opportunities in government and industry. Nineteen early-career tech, science and entrepreneurship scholars were selected for a one to two-year experience within government and private sector organizations.
Each will be fully compensated while holding positions within the critical areas of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cybersecurity, business process innovation, and materials manufacturing. These areas of focus designated by NobleReach expose the Scholars to complex challenges with great societal impact.
“Our nation must tap into the best and brightest minds to address the always-evolving wave of challenges we face,” said Jen Easterly, Director of the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency, one of the host agencies. “The vigilance and resilience we need to compete on the global stage demands a whole-of-society approach. That starts with people, in and out of government.”
The selected NobleReach Scholars outshone hundreds of candidates from 90 universities nationwide. Each were evaluated and matched to the unique needs of their assigned partner. They were placed at eight federal agencies handling responsibilities for defense and national security, the economy, climate, and health. Three industry partners, Anduril, Ozark, and Thermaquil, participate at the forefront of public sector innovation.
The nonprofit based just outside Washington, D.C., seeks to strengthen the security and prosperity of our nation through talent and innovation. With the launch of this program, NobleReach’s leaders envision a long-term contribution by program participants, rising to become a community.
“The scholars program aims to inspire a lifelong passion for public service among tomorrow’s leading technologists, scientists and entrepreneurs at the beginning of their careers,” said NobleReach Foundation CEO Arun Gupta. “Wherever their journeys take them – to government, the private sector or academia – NobleReach Scholars will always be part of a community united in their dedication to driving positive entrepreneurial change for societal impact.” Application for the NobleReach Scholars program for 2025 will be accepted beginning September 30, 2024. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A graduate with either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution between December 2021 and August 2024,
- A Cumulative GPA of the most recent degree of 3.2 or higher,
- A demonstrated interest and experience in one of the five strategic areas listed above, and
- Be a U.S. citizen or authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
In 2022 NobleReach merged with IQT Emerge, a division of In-Q-Tel, Inc. which focuses on connecting the U.S. government innovation pipeline with entrepreneurship to support technology development for the national interest. It seeks to inspire the country’s best and brightest minds to become “mission-driven changemakers”.
