One of New York City’s most revolutionary fitness chains has announced its decision to to go public with its recent filing for an initial public offering (IPO). Since its Upper West Side debut in 2006, SoulCycle has opened 41 locations across the country with about 50,000 cyclers each week. Voted one of the World’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Fitness in 2013 by Fast Company and one of the top 10 NYC Google searches in 2012; SoulCycle’s high-energy environment and celebrity clientele have generated a buzz and aligned the company to launch a retail line, design their own SoulCycle Bike and now, go public!
The price range and number of shares has yet to be determined as a registration statement on Form S-1 pertaining to the proposed offering has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission and is not yet effective. An underwriting group is making the offering under the leadership of Goldman, Sachs & Co., Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, and Citigroup Global Markets Inc.
