New Museum, a dedicated Contemporary Art Museum in New York City, is seeking members for its September NEW INC professional development program that is part of its Incubator.
The mission of NEW INC is not just to focus on capital value, but also on cultural values. The incubator is designed to support businesses, technologies, and culture that push for a more diverse, equitable, and creative future.
The program is seeking start-ups based around culture and technology, collectives and studios based in entertainment and design, and a broad field of Independent practitioners, including scientists, artists, filmmakers, writers, and others that are focused on investigating emerging technologies and their effects on culture.
NEW INC offers the opportunity to have work presented at partner events and their bi-annual demo days as well as guest industry experts, New Museum staff, and dedicated mentors to provide feedback and critique.
The deadline for participants is April 30th. NEW INC will run for 12 months starting this September, offering both full-time and part-time fee based memberships, with limited financial assistance for those that need it in the form of subsidies and scholarships emphasized on supporting minorities and women.
