February 20, 2015 Small business government contractors seeking to grow their small business are encouraged to contact the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers to obtain help in receiving a spot on the Mercer County Bid List.  The Bid List is an online procurement auction for businesses to bid on specific service work or products upon availability through the county’s Department of Purchasing website. Bidders have the opportunity to offer their business services to auctioneers, or bid for specific products that may be available.

Once you’re on the Bid List, Mercer County will directly send weekly bidding opportunity emails to bidders on the list. Bidders who are interested will be able to place their offers online through the County’s Department of Purchasing website. Bidding results are also posted publicly online.

To receive more detailed instructions from the New Jersey Small Business Development Center, send an email to getonthebidlist@sbdcnj.com including your name, your company, and your phone number.  An immediate email will be sent back to you with the instructions.  Mercer County no longer accepts fax responses, but your bid list application can be sent online.

To contact Mercer County’s Department of Purchasing directly, call (609) 989-6170.
