InNEVator 2018 class of IoT startups are ready to bring their disruptive ideas and technologies to market following their participation in an eight-week long pre-accelerator program. Hosted by the University of Nevada, Reno Innevation Center – Powered by Switch, the program assists early-stage tech companies in the IoT field.
Each startup entering the InNEVator brings its own specific set of goals, from fine-tuning software to getting their programs off of the ground. They accomplish their goals through a collaborative environment provided by the InNEVator program that includes support from university students, faculty, and researchers, while also engaging with investors, community leaders, and entrepreneurs.
The three final companies chosen from a global applicant pool of over 50 are:
- Soapy, providing regulatory compliant hand-hygiene stations that cut down on the spread of disease with 24/7 access to safe water and soap. Powered through proprietary soap capsules that provide accurate doses of soap and water, the solution uses 95% less water than any other.
- Senclo, streamlines the process of garage space rental through STORP2P, a peer-to-peer platform. It’s the first on the market to use a solution with combined hardware and software, letting renters easily search, access, and rent garage space.
- Elva, offering a bar-code scanner similar to the ones used in hospitals to provide user-friendly medication tracking, chronology, and dosage from anywhere. The device is always connected through a 4G network and can work for three days without a charge, giving caregivers and long-distance loved ones peace of mind.
