The Investors Choice Capital Conference, the oldest venture capital conference in the U.S. – held annually since 1984 – is set to take place on February 17 in Salt Lake City.
The conference features investor pitches from 27 different startups, hoping to raise as much as $10 million from the hundreds of investors set to attend.
VentureCapital.org, who’s hosting the conference, recently announced Rudy Ruettiger, famously portrayed in the 1993 movie “RUDY,” as the keynote speaker. Known for his inspiring journey of receiving a walk-on football position at the University of Notre Dame, his story recently took a grimmer turn when he received charges from the SEC for a stock-promoting scheme involving his Rudy Nutrition Sports Drink.
His speech, then, will revolve around life lessons geared toward entrepreneurs.
VentureCapital.org is one of the world’s oldest and most successful venture acceleration programs, and over 850 companies have participated in the conference. Since 2009, these companies have raised and received over $7 billion from investors.
