Taking immersive experiential entertainment to a totally new level, Illuminarium Experiences hosted yesterday the Grand Opening of its first Illuminarium, a 26,000 square-foot entertainment complex located on the Atlanta BeltLine. The global entertainment company debuted its high tech spectacle, WILD: A Safari Experience, giving the audience an immersive experience among Africa’s most exotic animals in their natural habitats. Using state of the art technology, visitors can see, hear, feel, smell and even personally affect an experience.
“In WILD, visitors will walk through the theater and feel an elephant walking on-screen in front of them, while Spacewalk will enable them to leave footprints on the surface of the moon. In this light, Illuminarium exemplifies ‘VR, without the glasses’ next generation entertainment that is ideally suited for the post-pandemic world of a return to communal experiences,” explains Alan Greenberg, CEO of Illuminarium Experiences. The second feature, SPACEWALK takes the audience on a journey into the Solar System where they experience what it’s like to walk on the surface of the Moon and Mars.
In order to introduce this immersive entertainment achievement, Illuminarium Experiences brought together global leaders in cinematic and interactive content, architectural and theatrical design.Through the convergence of technologies millions of visitors will have extraordinary adventures—brought about by combining traditional motion picture production and virtual reality interactive features in a massive theatre setting.
The audience’s fun and enjoyment does not end with their viewing. In the evening Illuminarium becomes an immersive nightlife and hospitality venue. At The Bar at Illuminarium guests not only have cocktails and curated eats, they are seated within seven stunning, lush digital settings such as a distant Tokyo street or a fantastical dreamscape. In addition The Illuminarium Café, a full-service restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on site and is open from 9am-11pm.
Illuminarium Experiences is the creation of Alan Greenberg, Radical Media and Rockwell Group, and operated by Legends. Scheduled openings include: Las Vegas at AREA 15 in January 2022 and Miami at Mana in the Wynwood Arts District, in fall 2022.
More immersive entertainment venues are being planned to establish a full global footprint for the entertainment company.
