For those passionate about cannabis, Hemp Connoisseur publishes a list called “100 people you should know,” recognizing the passionate individuals who are leading and working within the industry to strengthen the market. This year’s list, featured in the latest issue of Hemp Connoisseur magazine, honors people operating a business, farming hemp, rallying to pass laws, spreading the benefits of cannabis, or merely using art to raise awareness of the culture.  All who are leading the way to build a rising new industry.

The magazine is rooted in educating the public on the environmental, economical, and health benefits of the cannabis plant by providing information on hemp and medical marijuana. Currently commercial hemp production is legal in 17 states and is used in many other states for medical purposes, research, or just recreationally.

The 100 people issue in particular is important in that it raises awareness of people disrupting the cannabis industry, including business leaders, spokespeople, and artists while allowing the general public to take part in the nomination process.

“It was not something we took lightly. Every person was vetted and researched, the final list was voted on by our entire staff. The 100 people that are gracing our cover and our pages in this issue deserve this recognition. They were nominated by their peers. Each person is exceptional in their field and an industry MVP. This list serves as a way to honor exemplary humans in all levels of the cannabis industry, from CEOs to educators to activists and beyond,” said Christianna Brown, Editor-in-Chief of Hemp Magazine.
