The New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), part of NJIT, is one of the inaugural grant recipients in the JPMorgan Chase & Co.  Small Business Forward initiative, a five-year, $30 million grant program to boost small business support networks that help growing enterprises in specific industries that includes training entrepreneurs in New Jersey to grow their businesses. 

Small Business Forward is seeking Health IT entrepreneurs that have achieved initial market traction of $250,000 in revenue and need support to accelerate their commercialization pathway.  Companies accepted will participate in an intensive structured learning program consisting of group classes and peer support activities.  The objective of the program is to help these companies achieve 20% or more annual revenue growth.  Focused networking efforts will link and leverage the participating companies to additional potential customers, strategic partners and suppliers, and facilities allowing them to strengthen their product pipeline and accelerate their growth trajectory.

This Health IT Entrepreneurial Connection program is funded by JP Morgan Chase ($1.45M over five years).  It’s goal is have NJII grow the Health IT cluster and extend EDC (Enterprise Development Center) services and the capabilities of the new NJII Healthcare Delivery Systems iLab by piloting a new initiative, the Health IT Entrepreneurial Connection Program.
