For cultural-focused startups looking to make a splash in the digital field, the search may be over, at least for some. Running this fall as part of the Paris-New York Tandem 2016, the French-American Digital Lab will provide ten American entrepreneurs with the assets and support needed to succeed in the ever-changing business landscape.

The ten day program, which is hosted by the Made in NY Media Center by IFP, will consist of workshops, seminars, and conferences that will be piloted by top tech and cultural leaders in the United States and France.  This year, Digital Lab will place an emphasis on selecting startups that center their work in culture focused industries, such as the virtual reality and storytelling industry, and the fashion and design industries.

Recognizing that the unquestionable agents shaping the way we connect with culture are fresh and innovative minds, Digital Lab aims to arm these pioneers with the proper resources and support they need.  By combining established leaders with young and ambitious startups in France and the United States, Digital Lab hopes to spearhead the digital transformation of cultural businesses.

The startups that will ultimately participate in Digital Lab will be selected from a pool of applicants on September 8th.  Ten American startups will venture to Paris for the program while ten French startups will travel to New York.

The French-American Digital Lab is co-produced by the French Embassy and Business France, an agency that assists and nurtures companies.  The Paris-New York Tandem 2016 is a program coordinated by the City of Paris and the French Institute that aims to facilitate the sharing of people, ideas and cultures between the United States and France.
