Seeking young entrepreneurs eager to break into French and American markets, French-American Digital Lab, a workshop for startups and content creators from the cultural sector, is accepting applications for Session 1 in NYC until August 16. Created by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York and co-produced with Business France, the interdisciplinary exchange program was designed within the framework of French Tech New York City.

Alternating between France and the U.S., the French-American Digital Lab will take place twice a year selecting ten teams of two for a 10-day program exploring one of the following themes:

*Narration (storytelling, transmedia, digital media, video games, journalism, paper and digital publishing). This will be the Labs inaugural 2015 theme.

*Sound & Image (music, video)-

*Urban Landscapes (connected cities, democracy, open data, architecture)-

*Design & Fashion

Session 1 will take place in New York and is open to French startups as the following session will take place in France for American startups. Participants will be educated on the following topics: Individual Introductions, New Methods for Conceptualizing your Product, Adapting your Marketing Strategy for American Consumers, Visiting with Businesses and Consulting with Experts, The Future of Storytelling, Creating Content Adapted to the Latest Changes in Technology, and Techniques for Expansion in the U.S.

To be eligible for participation in the program, applicants must have entered the seed funding stage, identified future partners or clients in the host country and developed a successful business plan.
