With COVID-19 continuing to disrupt everyday operations for most business sectors, FedEx Corp. is easing the financial burden of some small businesses through their #SupportSmall Grants program. Out of nearly 50,000 applicants, the grant selected 200 small business owners who will receive a $5,000 check and a $500 credit for FedEx Office® print and business services.

“We are proud to help these entrepreneurs navigate this challenging environment and are thrilled to see many of them use this grant to pivot from ‘brick and mortar’ to ‘click and mortar,” said FedEx executive vice president, chief marketing & communications officer Brie Carere. “Small businesses are the backbone of communities across the country, which is why we will continue to help them keep moving forward.”

Of the 200 small businesses receiving grants, about 47% went to women and minority-owned businesses. 16% stated their intent to use the money to create an online store, 40% planned to use it for marketing and advertising, and 43% plan to upgrade or enhance an already existing website.

The $500 credit for Fedex Office can go toward a number of things, including custom branded boxes, floor graphics, banners, and posters.

This small business grant program is one of a number of initiatives that FedEx has to support and champion small business owners.
