FedEx’s Small Business Grant Contest drew over 4,100 entries from all across the United States, but only one small business took home the Grand Prize. Access Trax received the honor, along with a $50,000 grant and $7,500 in FexEx Office print and business services. Their product empowers the physically disabled with foldable pathways that enables them to move about outdoors more easily.
A second prize of $30,000 and $5,000 credit in FedEx Office services went to MANCAN Wine from Cleveland. MANCAN is among the first exclusively canned wine companies within the United States. Another ten businesses won a $15,000 grant and $1,000 in FedEx Office services as a bronze prize. These businesses are Waterlust, VOXAPOD, Pit Barrel Cooker Co., Olori, Modern Christmas Trees, lumenomics, Kanga, Jessie’s Nutty Cups, Eat2Explore, and BroglieBox LLC.
Beyond the contest FedEx is committing an additional $1 million for small businesses struggling during the pandemic. Whether the money is used for paying business rent, paying staff, launching an online store, or enhancing an existing one, FedEx wants to keep small businesses of all kinds surviving and thriving.
