Edison Partners recently joined a Series C round for account-based marketing (ABM) platform Terminus that was led by Boston-based Grant Hill Partners. The investment aligns with their portfolio of Fintech, Healthcare IT, and Enterprise Solutions tech companies that have $10-30M in high growth recurring revenue.

Over the past twelve months Terminus passed through a string of notable milestones that furthered investor interest. First in terms of Account Based Marketing (ABM) the Forrester New Wave™: ABM Platforms, Q2 2020 report declared Terminus a leader—and a G2 ABM Leader for the 11th consecutive quarter. The company also acquired account-based chat solution Ramble and account profiling and predictive data company GrowFlare that expands Terminus’ platform.

The company now touts that it is the first account-based marketing platform to offer native chat. Terminus’ Chat from Anywhere™ technology broadens user experience by allowing them to launch a chat experience from any digital medium that connects prospects and customers in real-time from anywhere online.

“We helped launch the account-based movement seven years ago, but ABM has evolved into so much more than marketing; it’s how companies bring GTM teams – marketing, sales, and customer success together to drive long-term revenue growth,” said Tim Kopp, Terminus chief executive officer. “This infusion of capital accelerates our ability to bring the best data, channels, and analytics all together”.

As lead, Great Hill Partners’ Derek Schoettle with decades of data innovation experience and Chris Gaffney, co-founder of Great Hill Partners with extensive software and media experience, will join Terminus’ Board of Directors. This follows the recent announcement that Meagen Eisenberg will join the board who is chief marketing officer of TripActions

Atlanta Ventures and Hallett Capital also participated in the round supporting Terminus’ market growth, hiring needs and ongoing data products innovation. The current $ 90 million brings Terminus’ total funding to $125M.

Edison’s investments extend into 18 states and the firm has made 245 investments since their inception with 197 exits.
