Commercial and Investment bank Deutsche Bank has opened its 4th innovation lab in New York’s lower Manhattan, becoming part of the “innovation ecosystem in one of the world’s largest financial hubs,” according to a recent press announcement.

“We want to make Deutsche Bank the first stop for startups,” commented Elly Hardwick, the Head of Innovation at Deutsche Bank. “Through our global network of innovation labs, we are combining fresh ideas from fintechs with the scale and infrastructure of a global bank.”

The newest lab, along with the ones in Berlin, Silicon Valley, and London hope to develop a culture of innovation and contribute new findings to the bank’s digital strategy, evaluating and adopting emerging technologies to address opportunities and business challenges for Deutsche Bank.

The Innovation Lab will explore cloud technology, cyber security, and artificial intelligence technologies.
