Comcast Business is currently holding an “Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs” contest, which is designed to help potential businesses expand with a $30,000 investment in technology. Comcast Business is a strong proponent of the strategic use of technology that could connect businesses with their customers in innovative ways, and contest winners will get to use the money to put their ideas into action. The entry submission deadline is March 15th.

At the end of the contest on June 1, 2015, thirty-two winners will be chosen (2 from each of the 16 Comcast Regions in the United States) to receive $10,000 in cash. From these 32 winners, 6 will be delegated to receive the Grand Prize, which includes an additional $20,000 and a special trip to Comcast Headquarters in Philadelphia. Here they will receive advice from business experts on how to effectively implement their technological ideas into their business.

In order to be eligible for this contest, applicants must have a registered business in one of the Comcast regions in the form of startups (in operation for less than 2 years) or entrepreneurs (in operation for more than 2 years), and have 50 or fewer employees for their independent and non-franchised business. Applicants must enter the contest through business.comcast.com/i4E, and provide a written description of their business along with a short essay that describes how they plan to use the money to expand their company.

After meeting the contest requirements, prize winners will be subject to review by a panel of judges. Prize winners will be chosen based on their current and future business plan, which will count for 75/100 points, and a public vote that will account for the remaining 25 points.

The entry submission period will conclude on March 15th, so now is the time to enter if you have not already done so.
