Working to fight the growing threat that drones pose to U.S armed forces around the world, the Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Citadel Defense Company with a purchase contract of over $1 million for its counter drone technology. The company, which is now working with the United States Special Operations Command, has previously contracted with the government five times for their award- winning mobile system that counters potential drone threats.
The nature of drones is that they operate with various speeds, flight duration, maneuverability, and payload capacity which makes it hard to distinguish friendly drones from enemy drones. With Citadel’s Titan technology, U.S forces are able to function and communicate properly with the counter drone solutions providing on-the-move protection.
The Titan product is specifically designed to be fixed, mobile, or dismounted which makes it especially valuable to military members in vulnerable areas. Having been created by warfighters, operators, and security experts, the system is built to last with extremely low false positive rates.
