The National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer (NCET2) in collaboration with a corporate client, a global automobile manufacturer, is seeking R&D and Open Innovation partnerships with startups and inventors having innovations for potential licensing, funding, strategic alliances, and acquisitions (exits).
Their interests are in the area of vehicle navigation and sound enhancement opportunities as follows:
- Aerial navigation – 3D navigation or improvements to existing technologies for unmanned aerial vehicles and passenger drones.
- Precise location accuracy – increased accuracy (from ~10 meters to ~10 centimeters) of the existing Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), low-cost and scalable for commercial and consumer use.
Active noise cancellation

- Noise reduction – actively cancel external noise (road noise) and interior/ambient noise.
- Sound enhancement – enhancing a vehicle’s infotainment in-car sound experience
- Sound generation – generation of virtual sounds for mimicking exhaust sounds of larger internal combustion engines (ICEs)
- 3D sound – multi-channel surround sound technologies to enhance the audio/sound experience within the vehicle.
Startups and inventors having innovation ideas for automobiles in the above listed areas may make their submissions online with early review for those received by June 11th and final submissions accepted by July 9th. Those having a match with the corporate client will move to further discussions by conference call.
