Verification of credentials can be a daunting task to most employers looking to make confident hiring decisions, but Accreditrust makes it easy.

Accreditrust describes itself as the first secure digital processing company, according to its recent press release. Accreditrust’s innovative product, TrueCred™ Digital Credential Procession Suite, was recognized a top innovative company at the Employment Tech Explosion segment of the Close IT Summit just held in Washington, DC from Oct. 13 through the 15. Global Security Verification (GSV) and Innovate+Educate co-hosted the Summit.

Accreditrust’s CEO Eric Korb, explained the important need for reliable credential verification, “As education credentials such as diplomas, degrees and professional certifications have been shifting from paper to digital certificates (PDFs) to online profiles in recent years, the methods of verifying them haven’t kept up.”

“Internet standards for credential security and processing have not kept pace with the way hiring managers use the Internet today to verify a candidate’s published capabilities,” Korb also added.

Cyber security is becoming increasingly important to up and coming businesses. According to Experian.com, “The growing prevalence of widely publicized data breaches is sparking a change in the attitudes of business leaders and consumers when it comes to cyber security.”

Korb says that high stakes credentials must be protected with the increasing risks data breaches present, such as degree mills that offer illegitimate academic degrees. “Ensuring digital credential security and interoperability are mission-critical activities, and we’re addressing them head-on with our TrueCred™ platform,” he said. The TrueCred™ provides cryptography that ensures digital credentials are tamper-proof.

Accreditrust presented their product earlier this year at GSV’s conference at Arizona State University and was named in the Top 10 High Impact Education Tech Enterprise out of 300 presenters by EdTech website gettingsmart.com.

“We’re excited about showcasing how our technology provides a stronger, more secure digital credential ecosystem to employers,” Korb said.
