Those who are conducting research to find cures for conditions impacting brain function and cognition are now seeing Artificial Intelligence as an important tool in their efforts. This week MyndYou announced that its AI-based platform which identifies cognitive changes in older adults will be used in a study conducted by Genesis Rehab Services, (GRS) a provider of rehabilitation and respiratory services.  The BIRD Foundation is funding the cognitivie research that is using AI with a $900k grant.

The MyndYou AI-based platform will be used to track follow up services of select patients and those who have been discharged from therapy.  It will include live, weekly phone calls between clients and licensed occupational therapists.  Also, continuous passive monitoring occurs via MyndYou’s monitoring app from which meaningful data are gathered and analytically evaluated.  GRS therapists are able to incorporate findings into individuals’ follow up services, as needed.

“This study is a significant step toward expanding the MyndYou AI solution in the US market.  We are motivated by the opportunity to positively impact the lives of millions of older adults living with different stages of cognitive change,” stated MyndYou CEO Ruth Poliakine in the press announcement.
