Having shown retailers how its 3D technology significantly increases conversion rates and sales, Los Angeles-based VNTANA now has the backing of notable investors Mark Cuban, Brendan Iribe (Co-Founder of Oculus) and others in their recently announced oversubscribed funding round. Their patented optimization algorithm enables clients to use their existing 3D designs to instantly create high-fidelity, fast-loading 3D assets.
“This latest round of funding propels us into the next phase of VNTANA and we are thrilled to work with these notable investors,” says Ashley Crowder, co-founder and CEO of VNTANA. “From working with Mark Cuban to female-led Chloe Capital, we are in fantastic company with a team that has deep experience in gaming and eCommerce”.
While more and more retailers increasingly see the benefits that 3D and AR bring to eCommerce, surveys also show that 71% of consumers would shop more often if they were to have use of Augmented Reality. The survey respondents also reveal that the technology gives them greater confidence to make online purchases—leading to greater customer satisfaction and loyalty.
VNTANA saw its business accelerate rapidly following the onset of the pandemic in 2020. Now a leader in 3D Content Management Software, VNTANA is using its recent funding to bring onboard top talent across its organization. The expanding team will advance the production, sharing and management of 3D models and augmented reality (AR).
The startup is moving quickly to automatically optimize its technology’s use across the web, social media, advertising, game-engines and the metaverse, while pursuing brands across fashion, footwear, furniture, tools, and sporting goods. Their clients such as Hugo Boss and Adidas are enabled to share and embed 3D and AR for sales and marketing use—doubling their conversion rates and increasing cart size by 60%.
“As the world continues to shift to 3D, the need for specialized software to ingest, store, organize, render and collaborate on content represents an enormous opportunity,” notes Greg Castle, Anorak Ventures. “VNTANA has created the most robust system to solve these problems and I’m incredibly excited to support them on their journey.”
With so much momentum underway VNTANA also recently signed strategic partnerships with PTC and digital wholesale platform Joor. By working closely with them, NVTANA will scale more quickly to offer them a suite of products, including 3D CMS, 3D eCommerce, and 3D optimization. VNTANA’s headless architecture allows other platforms to quickly upgrade to 3D.
Other investors participating in the current round included Tom Dolan, Flexport, and Mana Ventures.
