Mobile developers looking to stay on top of the latest in app innovation now have an important resource at Yahoo’s San Francisco office. A new Yahoo initiative was announced March 20 that aims to gather mobile developers at monthly “Yodel Meetups,” which Yahoo is inaugurating at its San Francisco office with plans to start in New York City in the near future, according to a press release. The release also provided contact information for those suggesting other cities to host Yodel Meetups: marketing@flurry.com
The meetups provide mobile developers with an opportunity to discuss issues alongside Yahoo and Flurry engineers. A forum for topics like UX, design growth and monetization will be provided by Yahoo, as well as more specialized subjects like open source database tools.
Yahoo’s first Yodel Meetup in San Francisco on March 26 will be held in partnership with Brach.io. A plethora of companies, including Flipboard, Groupon, Zynga and App in the Air will teach attendees about organic strategies for user acquisition, retention and engagement, according to the press release.
