What Are Minds For, Inc. a New Jersey based tech startup working in natural voice recognition, developing natural language voice control products and devices, won first place at the BlueWaterLabs Pitch Night held on August 12, 2014. BlueWaterLabs Pitch Night Meetup is “dedicated to the proposition that the future of technology hinges on the intelligent management of data, big and small, and the careful nurturing of tech startups”. The event, named “qwitcher bitchin’ and start pitchin’ #2,” a continuation of the previous “qwitcher bitchin’ and start pitching #1” event, showcased live demonstrations from various tech startups. Companies brought apps, wearables, 3D printing, and other technologies in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI).

What Are Minds For, Inc. President and Founder Michael Liguori won the night with his five minute timed presentation about his venture’s natural language voice control product. This was followed by a five minute Q& A by panel judges. Top prize for the night was a gift certificate at a New York City restaurant, but pitch winners often receive a boost by having peers evaluate their ventures and then providing a thumbs up! Michael was very appreciative of the opportunity to pitch, “Thanks to all the judges for voting me, WRM4, for 1st place. The organizers put on a great event for the entrepreneurial community”.  Michael is also the organizer of Innovation Technology Meetup that is held at the NJIT EDC business incubator located in Newark, New Jersey where WRM4 is a tenant company.
