Early this week Vizient Inc. announced the five companies that will be competing at its fourth annual Innovation Challenge in Dallas, Texas on September 30th. Vizient, the world’s leading member-driven health care performance enterprise, utilizes the competition to showcase some of the most promising new innovations in health care.
Chosen from a global pool of close to sixty applicants, the five finalists will pitch their fresh ideas to an audience consisting of over 2,000 health care professionals. Using polling technology, the audience will select the Innovation Challenge Winner immediately following the final presentation. “The Vizient Innovation Challenge is an interactive and entertaining format that gives our members a firsthand look at five of the most compelling product ideas designed to help improve the quality and delivery of healthcare in our country,” Byron Jobe, President of Vizient, stated in a recent press release.
This year’s finalists hope to provide innovative solutions in several health care areas, including medical devices, genomics, wearables, artificial intelligence, and health care IT. The five finalists include SwipeSense, Tute Genomics, Diagnostic Photonics, 3Derm, and SilverCloud Health.
