Vinton G. Cerf is widely recognized as one of the “Fathers of the Internet” for being co-designer with Robert Kahn of TCP/IP protocols and the basic architecture of the Internet. In 1998 he was honored with the Marconi Prize for his technical achievements and ambassadorial leadership associated with the creation and evolution of the Internet. He is currently vice president and chief Internet evangelist for Google, where he works on technologies to advance Internet-based products and services.
