Women to have more opportunities and greater fulfillment in Data Industry

Women in Data (WiD), a global community supporting diversity in data careers, has joined with TheMathCompany, a global data analytics and engineering firm, to increase diversity in data careers.  The recently announced partnership will work to present women with more and better opportunities in the field so they may have a fulfilling career.

A roundtable titled ‘Conversations For Change’, organized jointly by Women in Data and AI Xecutive Council, an initiative by TheMathCompany, was the venue for the partnership announcement. The event was scheduled to be part of the celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day on March 8th.

Sadie St. Lawrence, Founder & CEO, Women in Data and AIXC member moderated the roundtable. She was one of a number of women who spoke, sharing their perspectives on global diversity and technology careers for women.

As the founder of WiD, I am eager to see the impact our combined efforts will have on increasing diversity and representation in the data industry. I look forward to the endless opportunities for growth and collaboration that this partnership brings, particularly in our APAC region,” said St. Lawrence.

Efforts to achieve their goal include “conducting research, offering mentorship, and creating abundant career prospects across diverse levels and job functions at TheMathCompany”.  Positions include scientists, data engineers, visualization experts, consumption specialists as well as analysts and consultants that in the future will have more women.
