Comprised of women entrepreneurs running companies ranging from startups to well established organizations, the New Jersey chapter of Sisters United Enterprise, Inc. (SUE) is developing an upcoming summer mentorship program for young women ages 12 – 17. Because the Summer Youth Entrepreneurship Program (SYEP) is aimed to educate young women on the inner workings of strategic business management, SUE is seeking for business owners and professionals to mentor and expose the next generation of female entrepreneurs to the world of business.
From August 10th – August 25th, each mentee will be paired with a mentor, spending 3-4 hours with them each day from Monday-Thursday. In addition to learning the day-to-day expectations of being a business owner, mentees will benefit from opportunities develop office skills including, but not limited to Microsoft office Suite and PREZI. As several SUE members have experience in communication, public relations and related fields; mentees will participate in activities to develop critical communication skills and gain exposure to social media management techniques.
If you or someone you know is interested in mentoring and providing a unique experience for young girls, contact Executive Director & Founder Gloria Durham at (908) 448-0607 or by email: info@suenet.org.
