Rider University alumnus and serial entrepreneur Norm Brodsky, together with his wife and business partner Elaine, made history with a $10 million gift to the University, benefitting the College of Business Administration that has been renamed the Norm Brodsky College of Business. This is the largest donation in the history of the university that includes endowing a scholarship for business students and the support for future business school projects.

At a recent ceremony celebrating the Brodsky’s gift, Norm looked fondly back on his time at the university, crediting it with a solid foundation that led him to a highly successful business career. With a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a major in Accounting, as well as an additional Bachelor’s Degree in Laws from Brooklyn Law School, he founded CitiStorage, as well as seven other successful businesses.

The Brodsky’s donation to the college is only their latest. The couple has supported the University’s nation-wide high school business competition for two years, providing a full four year scholarship to each year’s winner.  He also sponsored trips to the Inc. 5000 Conference and provided students with important networking opportunities.

“This extraordinary gift exemplifies Norm and Elaine’s deep passion for Rider and its students,” said Gregory G. Dell’Omo, Rider University’s President, Ph.D. “In recognizing this unprecedented level of support, we look to the future, and to what can be accomplished because of the generosity of the Brodskys. The impact of this gift will be nothing short of remarkable for our University.”
