Global beauty company Coty announced an inaugural Quarterly Digital Accelerator Summit that will showcase innovations from tech startups that potentially may earn them the opportunity to work with Coty’s brand portfolio. This latest program from Coty will focus on artificial intelligence, and interested tech startups have until March 12th to submit their best Artificial Intelligence pitch with any Coty brand from its 70+ portfolio.
The Digital Accelerator Summit focusing on artificial intelligence will be held on March 27th and 28th in New York and London. A prize fund of up to $100,000 has been established with prizes of $10k – $50k awarded based on criteria fit (brand alignment, growth impact, scaling upside) for winning start-ups judged by a panel of Coty digital experts.
Winning submissions will also receive strategic support from Coty’s Digital team, access to Coty brand executives worldwide and proprietary consumer research in the beauty and luxury industry; and the stress testing of the technology with a real brand challenge using Coty budgets for initial pilots.
Submissions should include a description of what makes them unique in the AI field, demonstrate how a specific Coty brand will benefit from the submitted technology, and indicate a preferred partnership model for in-market trialing. For further submission details or to submit an AI pitch, contact digitalaccelerator@cotyinc.com
The launch of this new Digital Accelerator Summit follows the successful launch of the Coty Digital Accelerator in 2017. The 2017 Accelerator focused on development of Coty’s digital capabilities, while this latest program provides Coty’s colleagues and brands an opportunity to connect with a focused selection of technological startups.
“At Coty, we’re focused on transforming our digital capabilities across the organization, and the launch of the Digital Accelerator represented a key milestone in this transformation. I’m thrilled to take this initiative a step further by bringing external start-ups into the mix,” said Jason Forbes, Chief Digital and Media Officer at Coty
Possible future themes for this program include voice, Augmented Reality, and 3D printing.
