Johnson & Johnson Innovation LLC announced this past week the opening of a new 30,000 square foot facility at the New York Genome Center known as JLABS @ NYC. The brand-new incubator is designed to help startups and companies with research and technology that improves human health. Now part of a global network of open innovation ecosystems fostering innovation across the spectrum of healthcare, the labs is the result of the collaborative effort of Johnson & Johnson Innovation, the New York Genome Center, and New York State.
Among the first companies are four winners of the JLABS @ NYC QuickFire Challenge, receiving access to a bench, a workstation, and the global JLABS community for one year. They are Mobile Sense Technologies, Inc., Sapience Therapeutics, Inc., Manhattan Biosolutions, and Lab11 Therapeutics LLC.

Other JLABS locations have incubated over 370 companies, taking applications from consumer and health tech, pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies.
