The upcoming “IDTechEx Show!” this November combines nine conferences into a single exhibition, all under the theme of connecting emerging technologies with global brands. Covering topics like the Internet of Things, printed electronics, graphene and two-dimensional materials, and wearable technology, the event additionally features a showcase of innovations from 10 technology startups that won the IDTechEx Launchpad initiative.

Each of the nine conferences is designed by analysts in the fields and feature a strong amount of overlap with one another, exposing exhibitors and show attendees to full supplier and customer bases and full supply chains in less time. The event’s proprietor, IDTechEx, provides business intelligence and independent market research outside of their events on emerging technology, helping startups and established companies with worthwhile insights to grow their organizations.

“We honestly did not know what to expect from this exhibition, as it was the first in the history of the company,” said co-founder of Bike2Aps Nils Sveje, a previous winner from the IDTechEx Launchpad in 2016. “We were quite overwhelmed by the extent of business opportunities and exchange of these.”

For this year’s Launchpad, the ten companies presenting are:

  • XCo, an indoor and outdoor real-time analytics and location system using XPS and BioAnalytics, a biometric and motion system for healthcare, robotics, sports, and AR/VR.
  • Two Carbon, demonstrating new graphene applications in footwear, textiles, and polyester fiber for stronger, lighter, and more capable products for the outdoors.
  • Terzo Power Systems, showcasing a hybrid-electric, modular, efficient power system serving as an alternative to diesel power in construction, agriculture, mining, and other off-road or heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Saule Technologies, with an ink-jet printed perovskite solar module on flexible foil, providing a low-cost solar energy source able to charge smartphones and other small electronic devices.
  • NiveauUp, showcasing a cycling charge/discharge of a 1Ah battery cell over video and live, with additional 3/10Ah cells for customer testing.
  • Nanomade, demonstrating their Force and Touch sensitive prototypes, a flexible pressure sensitive MP3 player and a series of heart and breathing rate monitoring seats, smart wristbands, and smart handheld devices.
  • Infi-tex, with a desktop touch-sensitive textile mat inside of their Infi-tex Jacket that displays how much pressure is applied and where.
  • Exovite, using technological tools for an immobilization and rehabilitation system to improve quality of life in patients and optimize medical procedures.
  • Chromera, demonstrating a single-layer, printable material combined with sensors for visual indications on IoT and medical devices called “verichrome”.
  • Ares Materials, showcasing a stretchable LED array and samples of the company’s flexible polymer material family Pylux.
