Patients who face very serious health challenges typically meet with a number of doctors and utilize a range of facilities to obtain the best treatment. Unfortunately, they have the added challenge of managing their multiple caregivers and providers during their already arduous health journey.
Eonhealth founded in 2015, and re-branded from Matrix Analytics, is working to reduce the complexity of patient management by collaborating with caregivers, hospitals, and hospital systems. The health tech startup’s top goal is to improve patient care by helping patients save time, money and most importantly saving their, lives.
Founders Akrum Alzubaidi and Christine Spraker are passionate about revolutionizing the way healthcare data is gathered, curated, and shared among caregivers. They feel that it is critical that correct data reaches the right people at the right time, every time, viewing this process for some patients as being a matter of life or death.
With November being Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Eon throughout the month is running a campaign that is giving specially designed non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to those whose efforts are impacting lung cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
Eon is recognizing these change-makers who are to be seen as heroes for their positive contribution to healthcare. The two give-away NFT collections are called “Eon Junkyard Dogs” and “Eon Party Parrots” and were minted on the Open NFT Marketplace SolSea, the first NFT marketplace enabling creators to choose and embed licenses when they mint NFTs. The site touts “Creators know what they are selling, collectors know what they are buying”.
Minting an NFT is how digital art becomes a part of a public ledger called Ethereum blockchain–that is unchangeable and tamper-proof. When digital artwork is established as an NFT it can be purchased and traded in the market and it is digitally tracked as it is resold or collected into the future.
“Eon Junk Yard Dogs and Eon Party Parrots are special NFT collections launched by Eon to celebrate the non-negotiable commitment to Eon’s core values and our team’s unwavering hustle to ensure early detection of catastrophic diseases and to bring real change to healthcare,” said Aki Al-Zubaidi, DO, FCCP, Eon Founder and Co-CEO.
Later this year Eon has planned the launch of the Eon One app, enabling people anywhere to make use of its healthcare technology. Now a medical journey that was so complicated and burdensome has been streamlined so that a patient can take an image on their camera phone of a radiology report to learn the results that provide the necessary follow-up.
Eon’s commitment to impact healthcare through innovative technology extends to other emerging technologies. Eon will begin accepting crypto payments utilizing BitPay.
“There is so much noise in the healthcare sector that it hurts progress. Eon quite simply attacks unnecessary leakage at the point of care and impacts the macro human-level similarly to how crypto has removed silos and crossed borders. The Eon NFT collection is another data point to demonstrate Eon’s differentiation around innovation and inclusivity,” says Dr. Aki.
