Venture Atlanta 2018 Opens Call for Innovative Tech Companies Seeking Funding

Venture Atlanta announced its 2018 call for tech companies, giving startups and high-growth companies the chance to participate in the Southeast’s premier investor showcase in tech. Taking place from October 16-17th in Atlanta, Georgia the event offers tech companies the chance to connect with customers, capital, and partners while also entering a notable collective of Venture Atlanta alumni.

Successful companies that have been launched on Venture Atlanta’s stage include: ClearLeap, Razor Insights, Silverpop, and CloudSherpas. The highly touted event is limited to companies within Georgia or the expanded footprint of Texas to Washington, D.C. who are seeking funding within the next 12 to 18 months. It is free to apply through Friday, August 3rd, 2018.

This year there are two opportunities for companies to participate. The Venture Atlanta Presenting Company provides companies with the opportunity to present on the main stage to more than 900 attendees, including more than 200 tech leaders and investors. In addition, they receive training and one-on-one meetings with national and local venture funds.

The second opportunity is the Venture Atlanta Showcase Company, a brand-new annual showcase that selects over 30 earlier stage startups to be featured in a less formal setting on October 16th. They receive a dedicated table in a venue enabling face-to-face meetings with attendees.

“Venture Atlanta has truly become a foundation of the tech ecosystem in a region that is experiencing a whole new wave of innovation and growth,” said Paul Iaffaldano, Venture Atlanta board member and managing director of BIP Capital. “Last year alone we witnessed dozens of companies funded as a result of the exposure and connections made at the conference.”

Since its inception over a decade ago, the venue has served presenting companies helping them raise over $2.5 billion in total while achieving over $14 billion in exits.
