Authentic user reviews were a key factor in selecting those on the annual list
G2, the largest software marketplace serving over 90 million people annually, announced its Best Security Software Products list for 2024. The list includes top software sellers and service providers based on authentic, timely reviews from real user reviews on the G2 marketplace.
Eligibility for Best Software Products Lists requires a software company to receive at least 50 approved reviews in aggregate across all of its G2-listed products during the 2023 calendar year, up through December. 31, 2023. Scores reflect only data from reviews submitted during this evaluation period. The top 100 products are ranked based on reviews across all categories in which they are a part.
The top five security software products chosen by reviews are:
- Wiz: a Cloud Security Posture Management product
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud: Cloud Workload Protection Platforms
- Microsoft Entra ID: an Identity and Access Management product
- IBM Security QRadar SIEM: Security Information and Event Management product, and
- Coro Cybersecurity: a Cloud Data Security product.

Out of 5,520 total security software products, 337 were eligible for the 2024 Best Software Awards. Of these, 26 remained on the final list from the prior year, while 24 are new entrants — representing a 48% change year to year.
To qualify for the best Security software list, products must be listed under one or more of the Security software categories. Security solutions are for detect threats, evaluate vulnerabilities, protect devices, discover assets, manage access, prevent data loss, and secure network connections.
More than 30 different lists are generated using G2’s proprietary algorithm based on G2’s verified user
reviews and publicly available market presence data.
