GreenSlate announced on September 26th their recent selection as a finalist for the Empire State Development Grant, given to economic development projects that reduce underemployment and unemployment, increase economic or business activity, and create or retain jobs in New York State. The business services and entertainment payroll company is known for their global support of award-winning productions, independent storytellers, and other content producers.

The grant is awarded by the New York State Urban Development Corporation, which promotes regional and local economies all over the state via grants, marketing, loans, and development of real estate.

Over the past five years GreenSlate, formerly known as Indiepay, grew 450% in business services and the management of entertainment industry production payroll, showing its commitment to investing in New York’s economy and the entertainment industry in Manhattan and Delhi, New York. The company plans to focus further investments in the Delhi office to attract new talent.
