The Genesis Prize Foundation, founded by the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel, and Genesis Philanthropy Group, and the Jewish Agency for Israel, announced the launch of the Genesis Generation Challenge. The Genesis Prize Foundation encourages teams of young adults to collaborate in efforts to further advance their projects dedicated to helping better their community. The application to register is available on the Genesis Generation website, and will remain open until September 30, 2014, at midnight.
Teams are also asked to submit an application, due October 28, 2014, to ensure that the goals of the competition align with those of the teams that have submitted. The Genesis Generation Challenge has enlisted the expertise of five judges who will score the applications submitted.
The competition was created in honor of philanthropist Michael R. Bloomberg, recipient of the $1 million Genesis Prize which he has declared will go toward serving as a means to fund young adults startups and small business endeavors. Bloomberg has advocated for and donated to countless philanthropic causes, and cites the Genesis Generation Challenge as a great starting point for young adults to create and launch their ideas. -The competition will spur collaboration and innovation across borders and regions and it will encourage young people of find new and better ways to tackle our most pressing challenges.-
