The CardLinx Association announced on August 2nd a new forum dedicated to Retail in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, taking place on September 12th later this year. The company also welcomed new members including Dentsu, Yahoo! Japan, JCB, and Capital One.
Silvio Tavares, the CardLinx CEO and President, talked about the upcoming forum in a press release, saying that, “Artificial intelligence promises to reinvent the shopping and payment experience. Our forum brings together the global leaders in online-to-offline commerce and card-linking to share new advances and industry predictions in retail AI.”
The forum has several keynote speakers, including Souheli Badran, President of Alipay Americas, Amy Parsons, Head of Global Commerce at Discover, Robert Legters, Chief Product Officer at FIS, and Dan Kazan, CEO of the Rewards Network. The focus is on the impact of artificial intelligence big data, the Internet of Things, social media, geolocation, and dedicated smartphone apps supporting card-linking and online-to-offline commerce.
The newest members join FIS, First Data, Samsung Card, Discover, Facebook, MasterCard, and others as part of CardLinx’s network promoting cross-industry collaboration. Through promoting online-to-offline commerce, introducing common standards, and hosting forums globally, CardLinx focuses on developing standards for interoperability through card-linking systems.
